But can you ‘Feel The Love’? Rudimental certainly feels it. Last summer, their drum-'n-bass-meets-soul bomb soared new heights, the world over, Number 1 in UK and Top 5 in Belgium, and it was the same again with second release ‘Not Giving In’!
The four experiment with garage, dubstep, soul and grime covered with a thick juicy sauce of drum ’n bass, they mix old school instruments (Hammond, Rhodes, bass and all sorts of brass instruments) with digital programming, and write songs with killer hooks that get stuck in your head for days.
Childhood friend Plan B will be taking Rudimental along on tour in February in the UK and at in April the debut will be in stores, via Warner Music. Aside from regular singer John Newman and Alex Clare (who recently scored a hit with ‘Too Close’), ‘girl on fire’ Angel Haze (in AB on 15 May) was also snagged for a contribution: to be heard on new single ‘Hell Could Freeze’.
“We want people to dance and to feel something”, the guys from Rudimental had known in a recent interview… Surely that will be no problem once their pumping basses are released upon the AB Club? Rudimental is counting on you!
