Rise Against, the foursome from Chicago is completely back in the picture, with a fantastic new load of melodious hardcore songs. 'Appeal To Reason', that's the title of the new album and of course there's a world tour associated with it, which - following a brilliant concert during the 2007 Taste Of Chaos tour - brings them back to the AB again. What once began as an American underground phenomenon has evolved into one of the flagships of the genre, with millions of fans world-wide (just check out the tellers on their MySpace page). Bill Stevenson, known from All/Descendents, was behind the dials once more, just like on their previous album 'The Sufferer And The Witness'. 'Re-Education (through Labor)' is the first single from the new album and it makes clear already that Rise Against is back and in form.
Strike Anywhere, a fivesome from Richmond, Virginia, of course belongs to the same musical family as but mostly raises political themes in its lyrics. Their most recent album is called 'Dead FM' and was released on the Fat Wreck label held by Fat Mike, the singer from NOFX.
An extra support act will be made known at a later date.
