Richard Thompson Band: The Dream Attic Tour, Exclusive Concert!
Marc Didden recently wrote in De Morgen about Richard while still solo in the Rivierenhof this summer: 'an exceedingly fine performance that guided us from the deepest depths of Celtic folk to the barren oil-fields of Baghdad without omitting small excursions to highlights of his old repertoire and that of the Fairport Convention (which can't be praised highly enough).'
Then in the meantime De Standaard wrote of the new live-CD (containing only new songs!) 'Dream Attic' (on the Proper label): '3/4* it is a pleasure to hear Thompson playing around on his guitar live anyhow... a folky feeling, that inadvertently reminds one of Thompson's earliest albums, while the rock grooves remain sufficiently solid... the man is in a class of his own and this album is a pleasure to hear due to the great craftsmanship with which it is made and the spiritual power it emanates.'
Then there was more than half a page in De Morgen: '4*/5... timeless class... superb live album... the stage, that is the best place to experience Thompson.'
His most recent visit to the AB already dates from October 2007. So it's high-time he threw open his 'Dream Attic' for us once again, in full glory and thus with band!
