(Tine) REYMER presents her brand new pop noir album
We have been fans of Tine Reymer since the late’90s, when we heard the perfect pop that she created together with Tom Pintens as Flowers for Breakfast. Her role in the mambo collective El Tattoo del Tigre (good for many a sold-out AB) was just made for her and she has taken over the stage of AB with her all female band Billie King as well.
And so now there is REYMER. Her most refined, most personal and most mature project so far. Her voice sounds better than ever. The instrumentation is sparing. The point of departure is pop, but then timeless and with a dash of Americana. REYMER is currently putting the finishing touches on her third album and first advance track ‘Secret’ falls entirely under the musical banner of ‘pop noir’, as De Standaard once so beautifully described it.
Tom Pintens (Het Zesde Metaal, Tamino,..) took care of the production on the new album and he is also a part of Reymer’s live band as a musician, aside Aarich Jespers (The Colorist Orchestra, Melanie De Biasio) and Pieter Van Buyten (Flip Kowlier).
