The Repair Café, taking place in AB on June 6, is a neighbourhood initiative that promotes repair as an alternative for throwing away. We want to retain repair knowledge and by organising repair meets we strengthen the social cohesion of the neighbourhood.

The Repair Café is free of charge, whereby neighbours volunteer to help each other with the repair of all sorts of objects. This can range from clothing to electronic appliances, furniture, bicycles, even electronica. Visitors bring along their broken stuff from home and get to work, with the assistance of the (volunteer) experts such as electricians, seamstresses, carpenters,…
