Brussels collective Error 410 presents emerging hip-hop talent
RDV at AB is an event organised by Error 410, which aims to bring together emerging artists from hip-hop and street culture through live performances. The event offers artists the opportunity to showcase their talent in a landmark venue. It also aims to create links between different audiences, encouraging the discovery of new artists from the city of Brussels. For this year's edition, we present : Sadandsolo, Godson, REA and A slay
Sadandsolo grew up between Benin and Mali, moved to Bordeaux, but currently lives in Brussels. In his younger years, he became fascinated by Lil Wayne which led him to take up rapping. Self-taught, talented and multidisciplinary, he is at home in several art forms -as a producer, sound engineer, director, dancer and DJ. Meanwhile, he grew into a rapper with his own style and belongs to the new wave in French rap. Earlier this year (2023), he released 'Subsahara', a project that sounds more groovy and experimental and in which he incorporated West African influences.
Godson is a young Belgian rapper with a burning passion for rap, making this form of artistic expression his art of choice. He is driven by an indomitable passion to constantly push his limits. As time goes by, he evolves from "simple freestyles" on Instagram to more elaborate tracks. Last year he was already on the AB stage as the opening act for L'Or du Commun with his group NUPS3E. And he hasn't been idle since, in June, Godson revealed his second EP, entitled 'ENFANT SOLDAT'. This was followed in October by his third project, ‘FEU ROUGE’ on which he shows us the artist in a new musical light, with tracks that are rich, deep and more intimate.
The universe of Brussel bases REA consists of rap, R&B, pop and Congolese sounds. He finds his inspirations with artist as Drake, Papa Wemba and The Weeknd. His latest project ‘Rumba, Rhythm & Blues’ came out in Mai 2023. A tribute to his heritage, mixing Congolese rumba and R&B. REA’s music brings forth feelings of integrity, love, elegance and charisma.
A SLAY is a talented female artist based in Brussels with a gift for blending different genres to create something entirely new and unique, making her sets an unforgettable experience. Last year she played Les Ardentes, Kiosk Radio and is a resident at The Room events. For A SLAY, music is more than just a passion – it's a way of life. She believes that the right song at the right time can change everything, and she's dedicated to spreading that magic wherever she goes.
This event is co-organised by the Brussels collective Error 410 (Hands Up Festival, Taksera Festival and The Room). A collective focused on promoting multidisciplinarity, creating links between artists and audiences, and highlighting emerging artists in the contemporary arts, in particular hip-hop, street culture, urban culture and everything that fits in with this cultural heritage.
