Youthful scumbags put out scorching garage-punk
Three bored brats from America's Missouri autodidactically re-schooled themselves into a hell-bent no-bullshit garage-punk band. It can't have been due to a bad upbringing, as their father does their management!
Radkey – aka the Radke brothers (21, 19 and 17 years old!) - played their first show in 2011, have only produced 2 EPs, but can certainly put forward a long list of references. Or do the names of prestigious festivals like Coachella, SXSW (2x!) and Download mean nothing to you?
Their debut album 'Dark Black Make-up’ won't be released until August 2015 and yet this sludgy combo has already appeared on the radars of prominent gatekeepers like The NY Times, music mag NME, Zane Low (ex-BBC radio DJ) and Jools Holland. They also provided the support-act for Drenge and Red Fang not so long ago.
