Experimental accordion sounds pushed to it limits
Suzan Peeters is an accordionist, experimentalist and improvisational musician from Brussels. She is always looking for new timbres and tone colours with her accordion. Suzan experiments with the acoustic limits of her instrument. She can play the bellows so extensively that - if you close your eyes - you get the illusion that she is playing a synthesizer. The combination with electronics blurs the line between acoustic and electronic altogether. Suzan writes her own work, likes to improvise and also plays contemporary classical music. This concert is a performance of (new?) work that Suzan is performing after a multi-day residency at the AB Salon.
