Radiohead drummer presents his latest solo album
Philip Selway will be joined on stage by Adrian Utley (Portishead), Quinta (a.o. Bat For Lashes) and Chris Vatalaro (Brian Eno, Jarvis Cocker, Beth Orton,…)
Philip Selway is of course best known as the drummer of Radiohead and as a member of The Weird Sisters (see 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'). He also released 2 solo albums, made music for film and theatre and was asked to make new music for a choreography by Merce Cunningham. Recently, he released his new solo album, 'Strange Dance' (Bella Union) recorded with some top artists like Adrian Utley, Quinta, Hannah Peel and Valentina Magaletti. On this little masterpiece, Selway proves that besides being a unique drummer, he also knows how to write punishing songs and can play other instruments masterfully besides drums.
Brighton based John J Presley writes music that can paint a thousand pictures. Soaring soundscapes, to instant future garage rock classics to meditative studies, his palette is huge.
