Atypical rhythms + technical precision = progressive metal
Periphery comes from Washington D.C. and combines atypical rhythms and technical precision with brutal and progressive metal. Their experimental urges have taken metal in an entirely new direction. So the debut album (out here on Roadrunner) was very well received. They have a gap in their calendar for the planned European tour with Dream Theater in February 2012 and they're now filling it with an own concert in the ABClub. For those who like Meshuggah, Dillinger Escape Plan or Mastodon.
Support-act will be Bear, from Antwerp, who have just released a full CD on Let It Burn records. Already toured the UK with While She Sleeps and soon to be seen on the bill of Groezrock. Just like Periphery, Bear is something for fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon and Converge.
