Peaches rocks! That's not only the name of her website, but also an obvious truth. This electro-punk goddess's live-shows are ever explosive, just check out her previous visits to AB. Now here for the third time in a row, this time with a new album under her arm, entitled ‘I Feel Cream’, with assistance from the likes of Digitalism, Simian Mobile Disco, Drums Of Death and – that's right – our very own Soulwax! Already curious what the new songs sound like? Be sure to check out the mixtape from Drums Of Death via her MySpace, which contains a collection of new tracks. Peaches – or rather Merrill Beth Nisker to the friends – has previously worked with Feist, Iggy Pop, Josh Homme, Pink and even Karl Lagerfeld. She'll soon even be performing the prestigious Royal Festival Hall in London.
Drums of Death is the alter-ego of painted-face Scottish performer (but London resident) Colin Bailey, who says to be equally influenced by "Black Sabbath, Captain Beefheart and Entombed, electronica and early grime.". Bailey is actually a one man soundsystem who raps, DJs and also sings. On his CV: already a remix for Tricky and a 12" that was released on Greco Roman, the label of Hot Chip-member Joe Goddard. Be sure not to confuse him with the project of the same name from DJ Spooky and Dave 'Slayer' Lombardo.
