Rock you, modfather!
Definitely already his ninth visit to AB since '94. If you type in The Jam or The Style Council then you'll find an additional four dates since '78.
Paul Weller is still a very active British rock institute. We noticed that 2 years ago, with his razor-sharp Sonik Kicks CD and a full hall for a marathon concert. Focus Knack noted at the time: 'The Modfather displayed his versatility for two hours long, with a highly unusual selection from his repertoire.'
That repertoire still embraces classics like 'A Town Called Malice', 'Going Underground', 'Start', 'That's Entertainment', 'The Long Hot Summer', 'You're The Best Thing', 'Shout To The Top', 'Walls Come Tumbling Down', 'Wild Wood', 'You Do Something To Me' and the significantly titled 'The Changing Man'. Add to that: more masterful CDs like 'Stanley Road', 'Heavy Soul', '22 Dreams'.
Above all, there's his indestructible live-reputation and an exceptional rock 'n' roll work ethic. This 'modfather' (who began his career very early) is clearly still not thinking about his retirement.
Note Whit Monday 9 June as a concert-must. You will hear and see the holy rock-fire flare up, live!
