Documentary screening in a cosy setting
As part of HIP-HOP 50, we present 'Palestine Underground | Hip Hop, Trap and Techno'.
In the 2018 mini docu, a crew follows several Palestinian art collectives and individuals a week before Boiler Room's debut party in Ramallah. The film gives insight into the lives of Palestinian artists from Ramallah and Haifa, who both face different obstacles in their hometowns. They find in the power of art and music a place of togetherness despite barriers and the very limited freedom of movement.
We will screen this Boiler Room docu (30 min) in loop in a cosy setting at our club. From 7pm you can walk in and out and linger with tea.
"Humanism is the only - I would go so far as saying the final - resistance we have against the inhuman practices and injustices that disfigure human history." Edward Said.
