Avant-garde improv duo presents their latest work
Brussels-based improvisation artist Pak Yan Lau and American musician / composer Darin Gray - you undoubtedly know him from his band On Fillmore and collaborations with Jim O'Rourke, Tweedy, Glenn Kotche, Gastr Del Sol, Chris Corsano, Loren Connors, Kevin Drumm ... among others. - released "Trudge Lightly," a double 10" / picture book, on the Brussels-based By the Bluest of Seas label in 2020. The album features some wonderful improvisations in which Lau operates synth and electronics in addition to her usual toy pianos and prepared piano, and Gray, as always, excels on (contra)bass and here works mainly on sound and timbre. During their European tour, they will come to present the album at the AB Salon.
