With extra-long ‘Ghost Reveries’ & ‘greatest hits’ sets!
'Performing two sets including the classic Ghost Reveries album in its entirety plus songs spanning their 25 year history'
Opeth has been injecting their death-rattle drenched metal with jazz, blues, folk, kraut- and prog-rock for a quarter century already. That eclectic approach has made figurehead Lars Mikael Åkerfeldt and his Swedish crew known as one of the most adventurous metal bands on earth.
After masterpiece ‘Ghost Reveries’, which has been dusted off once more to celebrate live at this silver jubilee, Opeth headed off in the prog-rock direction with ‘Watershed’, ‘Heritage’ and latest album ‘Pale Communion’. Thereby evolving away from the refined black- and death-metal mix that coloured their early years, but with out losing any of their musical ingenuity.
For their fourth concert in AB, Opeth dives into their richly filled repertoire to celebrate twenty-five years of being. They'll treat their fans to an extra-long concert evening, filled with two sets, one around the album ‘Ghost Reveries’ and one with all the hits from their other ten studio albums.
AB will again churn and groan under this subtle steamroller of refined progressive metal!
