The long-awaited AB-debut of these metalcore heroes!
The fierce Californian metalcore dudes from Of Mice & Men are well-read guys! They sought their band name by Nobel Prize for Literature-winner John Steinbeck and his tragic epos of the same name, a tale about the great economic depression of the 1930's in California.
With two albums (‘Of Mice & Men’ and ‘The Flood’) to their name since starting off in 2009, frontman Austin Carlile (ex-Attack Attack!) and his companions now present a successor full of keen, aggressive guitars, shrewd melodies and pulverising drums in early 2014.
They consulted producer David Bendeth (Paramore, Papa Roach) for assistance in making the artistic decisions. The follow-up, promo and distribution of the album was again taken care of by Rise Records (Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire).
“The dynamics in the band have never been stronger & we are so proud of the music we have created together.” Of Mice & Men is totally ready to represent metalcore land!
Beartooth kick it all off with their “aggressive, no-frills metallic hardcore of the highest caliber”. EP ‘Sick’ has been cheering the life of many a metalcore lover since last summer and the guys are working really hard on a full length album, ‘Disgusting’. By the way, the brain behind Beartooth is Caleb Shomo, previous bandmate of Austin Carlile in Attack Attack!. Afterwards, the AB will be set aflame by Issues. Their first single ‘Hooligans’ took them to the stage of the metal-caravan Vans Warped Tour, and their self-titled debut lies at Rise Records - just like the new Of Mice & Men album - ready to be released upon the world in early ’14.
