Nordmann creates a progressive sound in which they blur genre boundaries and combine the freedom of improvisational jazz with the energy of a rock band and the intensity of electronics. After winning silver in Humo's Rock Rally (2014), their debut 'Alarm' followed a year later, and after that the critically acclaimed 'The Boiling Ground'.

'In Velvet' is the beginning of a new chapter with radical sound. The foursome created an idiosyncratic masterpiece based on old and new influences, interwoven with electronics. To be able to play the new album live, the band sought and found reinforcements. Thijs Troch (Hypochristmutreefuzz, The Milk Factory, etc.) joins Nordmann as keyboardist/guitarist.

Their energetic, sultry live shows have garnered praise in the past and continue to make them one of the most exciting live bands around.
