After concluding an intense period with Hooverphonic, Noémie Wolfs threw off the sheep’s clothing with debut ‘Hunt You’! She started writing with boyfriend and Balthazar-bassist Simon Casier, laughingly describing that wonderful working experience as “a bit like Sonny & Cher, but without the domestic violence”. After all that industriousness, she dove into a London studio with producer Luke Smith (Foals, Depeche Mode) and ended up doing the mastering in the legendary Abbey Road Studios. The result is a solid, idiosyncratic and somewhat dark pop-album borne by Wolfs’ intriguing voice.
Kicked off convincingly live at Botanique and Het Depot, with the likes of three star reviews in quality newspapers De Standaard & De Morgen and a VTM News report entitled “Overtuigt nu ook solo” to top it all off!
She certainly chose her first single ‘Burning’ well, as Wolfs does indeed appear to be on fire, both live and on album. Come warm yourself on all that good stuff!
