True troubadour: honest fun & very inventive playing!
Now this is what a club concert ought to be like: exciting, entertaining, cheering, and healthy. We'll drink to that! Welcome back Newton Faulkner, after selling out and frankly elating the club in June 2010 (after failed attempts, a broken hand, and an Icelandic volcano, remember?).
And since then there is also a brand new third album entitled 'Write It On Your Skin'. Thanks to the Internet, we have been able to thoroughly enjoy it already. Our favourite dreadlocked Brit is a very generous artist, constantly creative (right down to his AB dressing room, see below) and an absolutely immense live adventure.
After his last visit to the AB Club, we received comments on our website like 'the most creative guitarist on this side of the seventies'. Find more praise from inspired audience members here:

'Have guitar will travel troubadour', says his bio, and that's exactly how he looks. Very different to the clean-shaven Milow, but they share the same infectious craftsmanship.
Newton now brings Sam along as suport-act: Sam Brookes. According to The Sunday Times: 'Musically, he excels at propulsive, narratively rich folk, delivered in a soaring, clear-as-a-bell singing voice that makes every word of his evocative, detailed lyrics count.' Not bad!
