Solid soul-rock live reputation - Fire & Colors!
This is a Covid Safe Ticket concert! What do you need?
This makes you think of cool shoes? Wrong: Black Pumas delivers scorching party music. And what’s good for Rock Werchter is good for AB too:
"Bingo! The Black Pumas debut is practically perfect. Their psychedelic soul shot the two to ‘Breakout Band of 2019’ in the US. All-round prime material for those for those who have enjoyed Alabama Shakes, Durand Jones & The Indications or Curtis Harding at Werchter over the past few years.
It’s as if soul singer Sam Cooke and primal rocker Neil Young became members of hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan. That gives a rough idea about Black Pumas, the project of an exceptional duo from the capital of Texas, Austin. Adrian Quesada is a forty-something who previously played guitar with Grupo Fantasma. That nine-member band won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Album in 2010. Quesada had a few instrumental pieces lying around in his studio that still needed a soul vocal. Friends recommended Eric Burton to him, a busker who played in downtown Austin. And, Bingo!"
