Michael Franti is a globally recognised musician, activist and award-winning filmmaker acclaimed for his energetic live shows, inspiring music, global philanthropic efforts and optimism. Die hard fans know him from his iconic spoken word/punk band The Beatnigs and the the politically active industrial hip-hop project The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy with their visionary anthem 'Televison, The Drug of The Nation'. Other evergreens include "Sound of Sunshine," "Say Hey (I Love You)," "Hole in My Bucket" and "I Got You,".
Michael Franti & Spearhead's 13th studio album 'Big Big Love' is now available with 17 tracks reflecting the same consistent inclusiveness and optimism. The Togetherness Tour kicked of in the US, with 60 dynamic and invigorating shows and is coming to Europe after the Summer with a long-awaited stop in AB.
Fred Gata is a Leuven-based rapper, soul singer and producer. Above all, he is a born entertainer who knows how to touch his audience with his smooth rhymes and warm, connecting energy, with which he rightly won the last edition of Sound Track for Vlaams Brabant. In addition to his solo project, he collaborated with artists like Vinci and Brosbros and was part of Fabrecollectiv.
Fred wants to connect people with his passion for art and building a strong community. Love, togetherness and sharing knowledge are at the core of his artistic work, through his soulful music but also through photography and paintings.
On 15 September 2024, Fred marks his long-awaited comeback with the single ‘I'm Feeling Low Again,’ which brings together the smooth beats of hip-hop and soul producer Poldoore and the keys of Joachim Saerens (Selah Sue).
