The first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.
The Dutch MEROL waltzes as swiftly through 'De slimste mens' as she does through the charts. With 'Hou je bek en bef me' and 'knaldrang', she has been camped out in our collective ear for weeks and every time we see her on TV, we can't help but listen and laugh at her typical MEROL statements: honest, straightforward and empowering. On 15 April, her debut album Troostprijs will be released, a fresh, contemporary and quirky pop record with music that comforts. Comfort for a fear of failure, of being left out, of FOMO (fear of missing out, you know) but also of perfectionism. "Don't worry about the expectations of others and set your own standards. Give me the consolation prize." says MEROL.
