Furious British power-pop - aggressive, melodious, energetic and hyper-catchy!
Melodious power-pop band that wrote the perfect soundtrack to the worries and doubts of young British millennials with debut ‘The Weird And Wonderful Marmozets’. The five spring-chickens (the MacIntyre brothers and sister/leading lady vs the Bottomley brothers) present an unusual blend of post-punk, power-rock, post-hardcore and pop with a fantastic feel for melody.
Over the last few years, Marmozets have played together a persistent live reputation on the other side of the North Sea and were also allowed to kick off Rock Werchter ‘15 here. With successor ‘Knowing What You Know Now’ (Jan. ’18) in the works – recorded with legendary producer Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies, Jimmy Eat World) in the equally legendary Monnow Valley Studio (Oasis, Black Sabbath, Queen) – it looks like they’re wanting to lift their game a few notches.
