You could see her at work for the first time in Belgium in AB: the delicate Mariee Sioux (yup, with a double e!). She then opened the AB for her close friend and neighbour ALELA DIANE. MARIEE SIOUX' story happens to run almost parallel to that of Alela. Her official debut 'Faces In The Rocks' appeared noiselessly via import without much impact. Until record company Bang! in Belgium decided to give the record a second life. And see: the reviews were unanimously (and rightly so) approving and the general public quickly discovered her breathtaking live-performances. You could already hear that Mariee Sioux was best mates with Alela Diane on various tracks on Alela’s album ‘The Pirate’s Gospel’. Finally, immerse yourself in the (spiritual) work of Maria Pugnetti who provided the artwork for Sioux' album. You should already be googling by now! Support act for the MARIEE SIOUX concert will be Elvy from Brussels, that is the alter-ego of Lionel Vanhaute, originally from Namen. He recorded his latest EP 'Sociophobia' with the help of Flexa Lyndo. He's already performed in the AB as support act to Lightspeed Champion.
