Virtuose guitarist who blends jazz, club music and Afrobeats
Mansur Brown is the definition of a prodigy: a classically-trained guitarist, curator and multidisciplinary artist. He effortlessly balances virtuose precision with expressive emotions. Brown’s own producing is inspired by Timbaland’s early 2000s rhythmic slap, which he blends with Afrobeats swing, Burial’s melancholic sound design and a guitar that shamelessly flirts with flamenco.
“At times my music has a clubby feel to it, but sometimes it sounds more introspective,” he explains. “Overall it radiates joy and gratitude.”
