“These songs gleam like freshly polished diamonds.” (Kerrang)
“Intimate, intense, and moving… One of the essential, must-have albums of 2012.” (Absolute Punk)
Aside bands like Touché Amoré, La Dispute, Title Fight and Such Gold, Make Do And Mend is swiftly climbing to the top of the post-hardcore/punk-ladder. The four from Massachusetts - together with producer Matt Bayles (Minus The Bear, Mastodon) - put together a very solid second album in ‘Everything You Ever Loved’, their first on Rise Records (Hot Water Music, Sleeping With Sirens, Of Mice And Men).
In the vibe of Jimmy Eat world, Foo Fighters, The Gaslight Anthem and Hot Water Music (with which MDAM appeared in the Klinker in Aarschot in ’11) they interwove melodious, stirring guitars with the intense, heart rending voice of singer/guitarist James Caroll. The result is a mature LP full of authentic, catchy songs, within the lines of a traditional song structure, provided with a refined and layered sound that effortlessly outstrips the competition in the genre.
Towed along by Hot Water Music, Title Fight and Every Time I Die, Make Do And Mend appeared in Belgium three times over the last two years, with a highly noted visit to Groezrock ’12 as chief feat. In early 2013 they'll be heading out on a well-earned headliner tour of Europe, ready to totally charm the ABClub with their ‘heart’core.
