Dutch artist Tessa Douwstra writes, produces and performs refined dreamy pop that tickles both heart and mind under the moniker LUWTEN. In the past, her music was an attempt to shed light on the introverted person, to find comfort in one’s own loneliness and egoism. New album ‘Draft’ takes up an other challenge: how to be that person with others in the room.
Vocals and lyrics are central to LUWTEN’s music but, here too, the songs have been crafted right down to the smallest details and there is still a certain fragility present.
Anyone who has yet to be convinces of Douwstra’s craftmanship should hurry up an listen carefully to the new album.
