Lucy Lucy! Young, cool and fresh and from Brussels. ‘Clock’ is their first single, an up-tempo folk bomb that can be found on their debut EP ‘The Morning Can Wait’ (produced by Fabrice Detry, see: The Tellers and Austin Lace). They once began as a folky duo that sated itself upon their parent’s record collections (Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers, Simon & Garfunkel). Now they’ve developed into a forceful fivesome with a slightly heftier sound. Convincing at La Nuit Du Soir in the Botanique, and a week later they were already number 1 in the Ultratop in Wallonia. Just yesterday they were a solid support to Sharko in the AB, now back on stage again in the ABClub.
Bikinians, the Lontie brothers’ band, is inspired by Supergrass and The Kinks but also by Cold War Kids and Black Mountain. The first EP, mixed by Christine Verschorren (dEUS, Ghinzu, Hollywood Porn Stars), was released in January 2008. In January 2009 Bikinians set up in the studio again to record their second EP. This time Charles de Schutter (Ozark Henry, Superbus) and John Roo (Sharko, Experimental Tropic Blues Band) were responsible for the production. Single ‘Rhinocirrhosis’ has been played on Pure FM constantly since its release!
