Fresh ‘BBC Sound Of 2016’ rap fare from South London!
A Liveurope concert:
The first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.
This 21-year-old Londoner was recently hailed by all the hip-hop connoisseurs – including American music-mag/hype-predictor The Fader – as “Britain’s most recent new hope in hip hop“. Not bad for a young guy who goes by the name of Loyle Carner, who only debuted at the end of ‘14 with EP ‘A Little Late’ (tip: free download available via his website!) and also has to contend with a heap of up-and-coming rap-talent in homeland UK, eg: Rejjie Snow (from Ireland, to be correct), Little Simz, J Hus, Stormzy, Section Boyz, Novelist and George The Poet. Indeed, with the latter five, he shares the coveted ‘BBC Sound Of ’ seal that has catapulted young artists in the direction of world-fame for years now.
