Who wears his sunglasses at night? Tiga, of course! This Canadian DJ/producer has shaken many a dancefloor since that legendary debut single Sunglasses At Night’ from 2001. Over the years, he’s remixed an enormous amount of songs by top artists like The xx, LCD Soundsystem, Moby, Depeche Mode and Justice, and poured his best electro/acid-beats into two full albums: ‘Sexor’ (’06) and ‘Ciao!’ (’09). By the way, for the production of the latter: Tiga approached David & Stephen Dewaele, better known as Soulwax, 2manydjs or ‘the most impressive record spinners in the galaxy and surrounding areas’. Along with new single ‘Don’t Break My Heart’, there also came the news that Tiga will be dropping a new longplayer early next year on Ninja Tune sublabel Counter Records (homebase to the likes of Maribou State, Odesza, Howling and Fakear).
