Hip Dutch stuff from Amsterdam! Since 2007, the Dekmantel collective encompassing central figures Thomas Martojo & Casper Tielrooij has boasted a cutting edge label (we can thank them for that re-release of Fatima Yamaha’s legendary EP ‘A Girl Between Two Worlds’), a real three-day electronic festival (soon with tentacles reaching as far as São Paulo, Brasil), and a sound system DJ crew that shoots soulful house and laid-back disco grooves through the speakers. A fresh, innovative view of the endlessly milked-dry ‘360 degree’ approach that so many labels strive for in this digital age. And in this way Dekmantel has been doing electronic music in The Low Lands a big favour for many years now
