Sisters Dienne and Nelle Bogaerts, aka Lili Grace, create quirky melodies in which cello, oboe and their two angelic voices meet. The duo decided to turn their childhood trauma, their brother’s traffic accident, into music. In nine tracks, they reveal their feelings about that drastic event: How do you, as a child, deal with an event that even adults can’t grasp? Who is that silhouette in the hospital bed, that everyone says is your brother? What do coma patients see through their closed eyes? Where is God when you need him? Can you draw someone out of their sleep with a fishing line? And especially: how do you deal with the loss of someone who isn’t dead?

‘Silhouette’ is a beautiful album in which their childlike amazement and adult grief converge.
