'Love Games', 'Running In The Family', 'Lessons In Love', 'Turn It On', 'The Chant Has Begun', 'The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up)', 'Starchild', 'The Chinese Way', 'It's Over'...
Those were a few funky highlights from the 80's, with thanks to Level 42 - alias super-bassist Mark King with especially the keyboards and falset vocals of Mike Lindup at his side.
Both British talents are at it again, for this end of year tour that will first take them through Great Britain for the entire month of October, then this unique Belgian concert, and afterwards undoubtedly extensively through the Netherlands (see too: their most recent 'Live In Holland 2009') and further afield.
In the early eighties this fresh pop-funk was suddenly the big surprise on the dancefloor (complete with the then revolutionary remixes). Insiders will still hear the influence of master bassist Stanley Clarke but Level 42 themselves also saw other exciting musicians pass through too, such as Wally Badarou (doing very well solo since then) or Dominic Miller (still playing with Sting).
Level 42 is still a well-oiled hit-machine live and all the evergreen ingredients for a brilliant party are still present (including Mark King's obligatory chewing gum!?).
