Finnish and seriously disturbed!? LCMDF is Le Corps Mince De Françoise in full and it sounds extremely playful, unusual and scatty. Now there is finally also a well done debut CD via V2: 'Love & Nature', containing the likes of that extremely entertaining 'Gandhi' single that already followed the funny 'Cool And Bored'.
LCMDF started out in 2007 as a trio (or loose collective) formed around young sisters Emma & Mia Kemppainen, who then later carried on as a front-duo.
The genre? Electro rave à la I Blame Coco, Robyn, Miss Kitten, Peaches, even EMF and Jesus Jones if need be... Happy, trippy, poppy! Britain's NME apparently also reports: 'Channels Neneh Cherry, early Madonna and all other things fun.'
Last year they were at the Pukkelpop and Europavox festivals and 'our man in Finland' made a note of them previously too, at the Flow festival of 2009: 'One indisputable Finnish revelation (dëcouväärte?) for sure : Le Corps Mince de Francoise is a far-fetched French name for a couple of fresh Finnish females who really resound and refresh musically. I think they even sing in French sometimes: at least I thought I recognized words like ‘fille’ & ‘fête’ and, as is known, those are key-words in the entertainment sector (see too: Vive la Fête and Ziet De Boerinnekes De Rokskes Zwaaien...)'. So this is for all those fans of (fresh Finnish) nonsense & dance!
