After a sold-out AB Club, the next step for this punk duo
Lambrini Girls are the intrepid riot grrls who rock the music scene. This devastating punk duo from Brighton-consisting of Phoebe Lunny (vocals/guitar) and Lilly Macieira (bass)-is known for their straightforward punk with sharp, provocative lyrics. Inspired by bands like Savages, Le Tigre and Bikini Kill, they kick ass against the status quo with a heavy dose of black humour and raw energy. With their long-awaited debut album Who Let The Dogs Out, released via City Slang, they put their finger on society's sore spots. This album is like a fireworks factory exploding: chaotic, dangerous, exciting and a frontal attack on everything that goes wrong in the modern world. Their rise is rapid; they have already featured on the covers of DIY, NME and Kerrang! and received attention from BBC Radio 1 and Variety, among others, and their show at the AB Club on 22 March sold out at lightning speed. luckily, we managed to snare them once more, on 8 December!
