High-mass for all those who love Heavy Metal!
Lamb Of God
Those who enjoy metal, be it the speed, trash, death or heavy kind, are sorted with Lamb Of God. Their impressive cocktail of heavy metal has been spinning metal heads for 23 years already, and the recipe doesn't seem to have been worn out.
In early ’12 they served us their seventh longplayer ‘Resolution’ - full of meticulous guitar force and thunderous drumwork - and they headed out into the big wide world to preach the heavy metal word. In the middle of that same year the band had a serious setback when loudmouth Randy Blythe got into a difficult situation around the death of a Czech fan. Those legal creases have been completely ironed out, fortunately.
The tour machine struggled a bit at that time but is currently operating at full steam again. During their European summer rounds they'll also be racing through the Shelter at Pukkelpop on Saturday 17 August us, returning afterwards to homeland USA and heading to Canada.
Don't hang that Lamb Of God-shirt away too deep in the closet either, as six months later they'll already be back here on an indoor stage (that was from ’10 ago) to give it their best again. High-mass for all those with heavy metals flowing through their veins!
Decapitated
Kicking off with the Polish deathmetal of Decapitated (Nuclear Blast) an America's Huntress (Napalm Records). After a very tumultuous period full of band-member changes - drummer Witold ‘Vitek’ Kieltyka (brother of guitarist/songsmith Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka) died in a tour-bus crash while lead-singer Adrian ‘Covan’ Kowanek fell into a coma and ran up permanent injuries - Decapitated returned to the foreground with fifth LP ‘Carnival Is Forever’. It put the band right back on the map as topper in the world of technical, extreme metal.
Huntress
Huntress, on the other hand, turn out heavy metal mixed with doom and trash and have a blond bombshell amongst the band members who can squeeze four octaves out of her throat at the drop of a hat. Later this year they'll be heading through Canada and the US with Danzig, Killswitch Engage and Lamb Of God, so the band will have the songs from recently released second album ‘Starbound Beast’ already well-rehearsed when they storm the stage of the AB.
