We know Melbourne-born and London-based multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and performer Laila Sakini from her many releases like ‘Like A Gun’, ‘Vivienne’, ‘Strada’, ‘Into The Traffic’ and ‘Under The Moonlight’. But also from the collaboration with poet Lucy Van, her DEEWEE release ‘The Other Me’ and, of course, from her alter ego Princess Diana of Wales. With minimal instrumentation and an ethereal voice, Sakini creates in her amazing ambient songs a world of sound from which fans of Grouper, Tirzah, HTRK or Mica Levi can feast.

Her latest album was released on November 4 via the Modern Love label, that you then may know from the sublime dark electronica of the likes of Andy Stott , Demdike Stare or Mary Jane Leach.
