Keep It A Secret? CD launch! Magnificent 7!
After ‘Here We Go Again’, ‘No Goodbye At All’ and ‘High’, ‘Keep It A Secret’ will be the fourth studio album by Lady Linn - one with which she, more than ever, shows herself to be an established name in the Belgian music scene.
For the new album, Lady Linn crept into her own cocoon and allowed herself to be inspired by films, series, dreams, love and of course by the nearing arrival of her baby. It is from there that Lien composed songs on both piano and guitar this time but also, especially,on Maschine (a portable electronic music studio by Native Instruments). Something that gave her an entirely different point of departure.
That is why many songs came about from a specific beat, vibe, sound or instrumental riff and it made it possible for Lady Linn to create an entire universe for each song, all by herself. Writing the soundtrack for Café Derby (Lenny Van Wesemael’s debut that appeared in cinemas in September 2015) and the fact that she’s been singing in the house scene for more than 10 years (together with FCL and DJ Red D – there has always been a great love for house and dance) formed the basis for this alternate approach to that of the classic singer-songwriter. In this way, Lady Linn has followed in the footsteps of purebred musicians who personally define their songs from A to Z.
