Following their brilliant two-dayer in AB (for the ‘Killing Joke’, ‘What’s THIS For …!’ and ‘Pandemonium’ albums), Killing Joke will be heading out on the road again. There are many reasons to tour: first and foremost: the band is celebrating it's 30th birthday. The line-up containing Jaz Coleman (vocals), Geordie (guitar), Youth (bass) and Paul Ferguson (drums) is currently working together in the studio again - for the first time in 27 years - on their 13th album.
Singer Jaz Coleman has been active in the classical music scene for some time now and he has worked previously with The Prague Symphony Orchestra, The London Symphony Orchestra and The Auckland Philharmonic. Guitarist Youth is now a much sought-after producer. So it was that he produced the likes of ‘Urban Hymns’ by The Verve and ‘Riot City Blues’ by Primal Scream.
Covered by Metallica and Foo Fighters; revered by Jimmy Page and Billy Corgan; and of influence on bands like Nirvana, Ministry and Nine Inch Nails. All the more reason to introduce Killing Joke into the pantheon of contemporary rock, as soon as possible.
