Exquisite double bill with two exceptional Keychange ambassadors
KEYCHANGE
Keychange is a movement fighting for a sustainable musical industry, encouraging concert venues and festivals to give talented but under-represented artists a platform and to strive for gender equality. The list of ambassadors is certainly impressive. Think: Peaches, Hinds, Corinne Bailey Rae or Aurora. In 2023, AB officially commits itself by signing the so-called The Keychange Pledge and incrementally pursuing gender equality. This showcase is not only an introductory moment for two exceptional musical ambassadors, but is also the official kick-off of our partnership with Keychange for the years to come.
THE HANGED MEN (SE) 8:00 pm:
Wonderful psychedelic rock with Swedish singer/guitarist Rebecka Folfart out front and members of Dungen and the Viagra Boys in its ranks as well. We recently read of their recent album: ‘In Sweden the band is already a household name, but their latest album ‘Tear It All’ deserves a worldwide audience of fans of dark and deep indie-rock.’ And also: ‘David Lynch is never far removed in the world of The Hanged Man.’ Duly Noted!
TAWIAH (GB) 9:30 pm:
Delicious neo-soul from across The Channel. Her fans are legion: both The Guardian and Gilles Peterson sing her praises, as well as The Cinematic Orchestra (with whom she wrote the single ‘Wait For Now’) and Mark Ronson. She toured last year with none less than Michael Kiwanuka. Her debut ‘Starts Again’ was released in ’19 and she recently launched her concept album ‘Ertha’. Tawiah is definitely an exceptional talent.
A Above 55° concert.
