Welcome back Kasabian! Things have gone pretty fast for the band around singer Tom Meighan and guitarist Sergio Pizzorno too, since their visit to a sold-out ABBox in November 2007. With their third studio album ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ and the accompanying hit-single ‘Fire’, the band has definitively placed itself in the Champions League of British rock bands that can effortlessly fill stadiums in their homeland. An album full of rock noir that delights for 12 songs long and which would seem to be the perfect soundtrack to French filmed Tarantino. ‘West Ryder …’ is how almost a year old and it spent 2 weeks at number 1 on the British charts; (again) provided them with stage space at the renowned Glastonbury festival; was nominated for the Mercury Prize and was Best Album at the Q Magazine Awards. Kasabian later also became Best Group at the Brit Awards 2010 and ‘West Ryder …’ also ran away with Best Album at the NME Awards. You see, a band you really must not miss.
