Grichte', Flemish dialect for 'sound, noise' is part of Karen Willems' Terre Sol. With this new project, the drummer/percussionist - who in the past played with Yuko, Zita Swoon Group, Jan Swerts and many others - combines improvisation, ambient/drones, exotic folk and trance. Man, machine and nature stand in constantly changing relationships and interactions with each other.

Grichte presents a broad and adventurous sound: open, exciting, alternately subtle and powerful. At the same time, it fits perfectly into the mission of searching, feeling and letting go again, the spontaneous play with adventure and connection as a common thread.
