Now even more impressive than last year: our 30th edition! Huge party vibes and energy squared, for indeed: 30 = 1² + 2² + 3² + 4²!

Or in plain language, translated from the Dutch and/or Flemish language that will once again determine the musical selection: everyone is welcome to this FREE MUSIC FESTIVAL, IN THE HEART OF BRUSSELS, 5 AFTERNOONS in the LAST WEEK of AUGUST, on that unique bandstand in the WARANDE PARK, just above CENTRAL STATION, between metro stops PARK and KUNST/WET, and with diverse BUS and TRAM networks nearby.

Our favourite Ilse, and a Goovaerts too, finally also poetic and crystal clear in Dutch. After five CDs in English and striking collaborations with Tom Robinson or Stef Kamil Carlens, she has now completed ‘Meisje Meisje’: no double CD, rather a beautiful collection of miniatures à la ‘Herfst’, ‘Ik ben niet kwaad’, and indeed a ‘Kris De Bruyne’ tribute too!? We expect  Neeka in the park with, jongens jongens jongens: David Broeders (drums), Jasper Hautekiet (bass) and Roeland Vandemoortele (guitar).

Yet another anniversary!? Well, the true Boterhammen story too then: late August 2005, after zeven summers on the Spanjeplein, the Boterhammen returned to the Park … and who was floating around there too (still on the fringes at the time), like a sleepy steamboat full of staunch children’s entertainment? Yup: Kapitein Winokio and his capable companions. He has now long earned his place on stage, as he is meanwhile also world famous in central Brussels for that endless series of brilliant Beren concerts in AB at the end of December.
