Incendiary Icelanders with bluesy album ‘A/B’ in AB!

As ever, there’s something brewing in Iceland! With vibrant acts like Júníus Meyvant and Axel Flóvent (22/01 AB Club), the Icelandic music scene is flourishing like it did in the days of genre-defining artists like Sigur Rós, Björk & Of Monsters and Men.
But if there is one band from that land that waltzes into Europe like a vigorous Viking then it must be Kaleo! This bluesy indie-rock foursome is about to explode on second longplayer ‘A/B’ (good name for a concert venue, I reckon). They’re turning up everywhere at the moment… in video game FIFA 16, series like Orange Is The New Black, Suits & The Leftovers, as HOTSHOT on STUBRU, and even in volcano Thrihnukagigur where they recorded a much-viewed live-version of their huge worldwide hit ‘Way Down We Go’.
Highly flammable material, from Iceland, that will thaw many a pop-heart this winter.
