Completely unique. OK, so that's often said, but this certainly is a very intriguing American guitarist and songstress. Now on to her fourth CD already: 'Dreaming Of Revenge' and increasingly vocal and accessible. She was already a virtuoso guitarist, with a highly personal, extremely inventive style that would certainly charm fans of Rodrigo & (especially) Gabriela. Her previous CD, ‘...Until We Felt Red’, was yet another production from John McEntire (Tortoise, Stereolab…) and it displayed her guitar abilities to their best. But Kaki King can also deliver smoother, at the same time tingly and subtle songs. She's already toured with John Butler and Indigo Girls. Now finally back in a well-filled and more than attentive ABClub. Pull Me Out Alive!
