Hot 'freaky folk-pop' with 'soulful feel' from Iceland
A Liveurope concert:
The first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their efforts to promote emerging European music.
WHAT
'Freaky folkpop' with a 'soulful feel' and 'Floating Harmonies'. The latter was, not coincidentally, also the title of Júníus Meyvant debut CD two years ago. He hails from Iceland, more specifically from the island Heimaey in the Westman Archipelago, but is now once again ready for another musical trip 'Across the Borders'. That is also the name of his latest CD (out on Record Records) and the new tour.
THE OPINION OF THE AB PROGRAMMER?
Regarding his previous visit in September 2016: ' Great show, by the way, and Júníus is a very funny dude, stand-up quality even… The entire Club was having laughing fits between the songs. Fine music, a real stayer.' According to MDB, no longer at AB these days.
