Wonderful tribute to one of the most memorable women in the history of jazz
Judi Jackson first appeared on the planks in the Music Lab of the Jefferson Center, in her homestate Virginia. She also recorded her first track 'Only Love' there, together with the Grammy Award-winning band Snarky Puppy. Not too much later, the 24-year-old decided to move to Britainâs capital, where she immediately attracted the attention of BBC radio hosts Robert Elms and Jamie Cullum with her debut EP 'Blame It On My Youth'.
In our club, she will present a wonderful tribute to one of the most influential women in the history of jazz. Judi will combine tracks from the debut album of Nina Simone, 'Little Girl Blue', with tracks from her own debut EP.
