With the release of new single ‘Family’ and the announcement of a brand new album entitled ‘What We Call Life’, Jordan Rakei now also announces his European tour in 2022. On Thursday 14 April, the New Zealand all-rounder will arrive on stage at Ancienne Belgique.
Musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer… Jordan Rakei is a busy bee. In 2016 he released his debut album ‘Cloak’, for which he gained inspiration from the London jazz scene and worked with artists like Richard Spayen and Loyle Carner. He soon caught the eye of the renowned Ninja Tune label, on which he then released his second (Wallflower, 2017) and third albums (Origin, 2019). With his soulful, instrumental mix of jazz and hip-hop, he has manged to reach an ever-growing audience over the years. His ‘Late Night Tales’ album was released in April 2021, a mix album containing collaborations with the likes of Puma Blue, Alfa Mist and Connan Mockasin.
