The 'I Wanna Be yours' Tour
Sir Paul McCartney calls him 'One of Britain's outstanding poets' and Nick Cave recently described him on his blog 'The Red Hand Files' as 'A brilliant, brilliant man'. Chuck Berry once addressed him as Keith Richards (yes, he's a lookalike), Artic Monkeys reworked his poem 'I Wanna Be Yours' and British post-punk band Working Men's Club had a track called 'John Cooper Clarke' on their debut. And oh yes: Dr John Cooper Clarke is simply the incarnation of Sleaford Mods. Or rather: the other way round!
Following the release of his long-awaited autobiography 'I Wanna Be Yours' (2019), Dr John Cooper Clarke is finally heading to mainland Europe. AB is delighted to welcome a phenomenon of such stature: punk poet, rock star, fashion icon, TV and radio presenter, social and cultural commentator and one of Britain's most loved and influential writers and artists.
John's new show will be a full-length programme of poetry and spoken word, sharing stories from his incredible life and hugely successful career.
