In May 2021, Johan Verminnen turned 70. What better way to celebrate this than with a number of birthday concerts, on stage surrounded by his regular support band, his companions and daughter Pauline!

Johan Verminnen has appeared on stage for more than 50 years now and become an irrefutable icon of Dutch-language chanson. But his music is more than pure chanson. Jazz, musette, Latino … His songs are enriched with all sorts of influences.

For this festive occasion, Johan will present a balanced anthology from his richly filled repertoire full of classics like ‘Laat me nu toch niet alleen’, ‘Brussel’, ‘Mooie dagen’, ‘Ik wil de wereld zien’, ‘Rue des Bouchers’, ‘Zingen tot morgenvroeg’ … Interspersed with fantastic songs by forefathers à la Jacques Brel and with songs from his latest album 'En daarna ga ik vissen'.
